Upper Bath Prevails Over Lower Bath in Thriller

With the freeing up of some sporting activities, during this Covid-19 pandemic, sportsmen and women are totally enthused to get back onto the field of play.

On Sunday, June 28, the Bath United Football Club, hosted its now annual village super header, with the team from Upper Bath, engaging their counterparts from Lower Bath.

It was an intense game all the way through, with Upper Bath converting the first goal, from a free-kick, which was initially superbly saved by the goalie, but one of the strikers pounced on the rebound and slammed it home.

Lower Bath did not take long to equalize, but Upper Bath made it 2 goals to 1, with another superb finish.

The half time score was 2 goals to 1, in favour of Upper Bath.

Things heated up in the second half as both teams fought for supremacy.

Lower Bath scored another, but Upper Bath had the last laugh, as they ended on the referee’s whistle, with a scoreline of 3 goals to 2.

Game two in the best of five series is now set for Sunday 5th July.
