Charlestown Primary School has etched its name in history, capturing a remarkable seventh consecutive title at the annual Interprimary Schools Sports Meet.
The prestigious event took place on Wednesday, April 1, at the Nevis Athletic Stadium, drawing a bumper crowd and creating an electric atmosphere throughout the day.
This year’s meet honoured distinguished patrons Kevonie Bartlette-Richards and Andre Liburd, both former standout athletes of the Ivor Walters Primary School.
Athletes from across the island delivered thrilling performances in a wide range of events, including the cricket ball throw and track races such as the 100m, 150m, 200m, 300m, 400m, and 800m, along with the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Spectators were treated to several nail-biting finishes and outstanding individual efforts.
At the end of an exciting day of competition, Charlestown Primary emerged dominant with an impressive 44 medals, including 18 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze.
