The sun may have been blazing over Newtown Playfield yesterday, but the vibes were ice-COLE as international football sensation Cole Palmer made a surprise visit to the youth football clubs and camps in St. Kitts and Nevis!

Cole dropped in on the Police Co-operative Credit Union (PCCU) and the Security Forces Football Club’s Nu Generation Football Summer Camp and other youth football camps, all of whom had congregated on the Playfield, and the energy was off the charts! Hundreds of excited young fans flocked to meet the Chelsea Football Club star, who did not hesitate to sign cleats, jerseys, T-shirts, and shoes; if the children could hold it, he signed it!
Joining Cole were his grandfather, Sterry Palmer, a proud Kittitian who emigrated to the UK as a young man; his parents, Jermaine and Marie Palmer; his sister, Halle Palmer; his uncle, Colin, and his cousin, Nathan.
Also in attendance were Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd GCMG OBE, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis, and Commissioner of Police James Sutton. Sterry’s return, beside his grandson now blazing a trail on the world stage, was a powerful full-circle moment that hit everyone right in the feels.
The RSCNPF is incredibly proud to have been part of this moment. Cole’s humility, drive, and love for his roots make him more than just a star athlete; he is a role model in every sense of the word. For our youth, this was more than a visit. It was a reminder that greatness can come from right here.
Big thanks to Cole Palmer for bringing the cool, the class, and the confidence. You didn’t just sign gear: you lit a fire in young hearts.
