Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and International Transport Recognizes Ms. Ticoya Connor on International Day for Women in Maritime

Basseterre, St. Kitts  — The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, and International Transport joins the global community in commemorating the International Day for Women in Maritime on 18 May, recognising the invaluable contributions of women within the maritime industry and celebrating the exemplary service of Ms Ticoya Connor of the Maritime Affairs Department.

This international observance highlights the increasingly vital role women continue to play across the maritime sector while advancing greater visibility, inclusion, and leadership opportunities within an industry that remains essential to global connectivity, trade, and sustainable development.

In recognition of Ms Connor’s contribution to the sector, Permanent Secretary Tivanna Wharton stated:
