Nominations Open for the 15th Edition of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in St. Kitts and Nevis

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Nominations are now open for the 15th edition of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens in St. Kitts and Nevis, to be honoured in 2026.

The Department of Youth Empowerment has announced that the deadline for submitting nominations is April 30, 2026. A detailed list of eligibility requirements has been published and is attached.

To be eligible, nominees must:

* Be **no younger than 13 and no older than 19 years by the end of the nomination year;
* Complete and submit a report on a volunteer project to be considered for an interview; and
* Demonstrate capacity in a nominated category, along with a record of **remarkable character, societal contributions, and/or notable achievements**.

Nomination forms are available at all secondary schools and at the Department of Youth Empowerment in St. Kitts and Nevis. This year’s edition will bring the total number of individuals recognized as Remarkable Teens in St. Kitts and Nevis to 375. Members of this distinguished group have been honoured for their outstanding contributions in various fields, in the presence of their parents, sitting parliamentarians, diplomats, and invited guests.

Since its inaugural staging in 2011, nominees have been recognized across categories such as Courage to Overcome, Music, Leadership, Civic Involvement, Most Promising Teen, Community Service, and Spiritual Commitment, among others.

The 25 Most Remarkable Teens programme was introduced by then Minister of Youth Empowerment, Hon. Glenn “Ghost” Phillip, with the aim of highlighting and celebrating young people who are making positive and meaningful contributions to society.
