Eight Contestants Vie for Miss Labour 2026 Crown at Carnival Village
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts — One of eight contestants will be crowned Miss Labour 2026 when the annual Miss Labour Queen Show takes centre stage at Carnival Village on Saturday night.
Organisers say the contestants, each representing one of St. Kitts’ eight constituencies, will compete across five segments: motivational speech, talent, creative wear and evening wear.
The participants are Azalea Juman (Constituency One), Denlisa Liburd (Constituency Two), Eushadika Frances (Constituency Three), Destiny Huggins (Constituency Four), Raynecia Hodge (Constituency Five), Dennidra Evelyn (Constituency Six), Dejhanee Moses (Constituency Seven) and Jewel Smith (Constituency Eight).
The winner will be crowned by Prime Minister and Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, Dr Terrance M. Drew, alongside reigning Miss Labour 2025, Shakaylia “Star” Tatem.
The pageant forms part of a wider slate of Labour Day activities. These include the laying of wreaths on Sunday, May 3, at the graves of stalwarts of the Labour Movement—honouring members of the St. Kitts-Nevis Trades and Labour Union and the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
The traditional Labour Day march will take place on Monday, May 4, a public holiday. Other scheduled events include the 93rd Annual Conference of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party and a requiem mass.
