NEVIS — The Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force hosted a memorable and historic Constable of the Year Awards Ceremony, celebrating excellence, dedication, and service within the Force.

The prestigious event was attended by Her Excellency Dame Marcella Liburd, Governor General; Her Honour Hyleta Liburd, Deputy Governor General; Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew; members of the Nevis Island Administration Cabinet; and the High Command and rank and file of the Police Force.
Eight outstanding constables from the Nevis Division were honoured for their exemplary service, with one emerging as the top awardee of the evening.
This year’s ceremony marked several significant milestones:
The 18th anniversary of the Constable of the Year Awards in the Nevis Division
Continued partnership and support from the Nevis Island Administration, the principal contributor to the event
The public debut of the Nevis Police Steel Orchestra, which delivered an impressive and entertaining musical performance
A historic achievement, as for the first time in 18 years, a female officer was named Constable of the Year
The evening was widely regarded as a resounding success, reflecting the professionalism and commitment of the Police Force. Commendations were extended to the Commissioner of Police, the High Command, and in particular Superintendent Carty, whose leadership continues to guide the Nevis Division with distinction.
Congratulations were extended to all eight honourees for their outstanding contributions. Special recognition was given to:
Constable Bissett – 3rd Place
Constable Morgan – 2nd Place
Top honours went to WPC Shaeneke Clarke, who was crowned Constable of the Year, marking a historic and inspiring achievement.
The ceremony underscored the vital role of law enforcement officers in safeguarding communities and highlighted the importance of recognising excellence within the Force.
