On Tuesday, July 15th, 2026, senior officers and personnel of the RSCNPF hit the ground in Saddlers Village and Harrises for an evening community walk-through, including door-to-door visits and open conversations with residents in the streets, and the reception was nothing short of warm.
The event was led by Commissioner of Police Mr James Sutton and Deputy Commissioner Mr Cromwell Henry, Assistant Commissioner Mr Travis Rogers, and Superintendents Mr Jasper Carty, Mr Lyndon David, Ms Carla Wallace, and Mr Irving Bradshaw. Also in attendance were Inspectors Mrs Tressy Morrishaw and Mr Kishorn Charles, along with other Police officers, island constables, traffic wardens, and civilian personnel of District B.
The community turned out with open arms. Residents expressed genuine delight at seeing their police officers walking through the villages in a relaxed, approachable manner, and the community’s children ensured the evening stayed lively. 🚲
Everyone welcomed the opportunity to speak freely. Their voices were heard loud and clear, with conversations covering concerns about abandoned buildings and derelict vehicles, public smoking, and a clear request for more regular community engagement, just like this one. Residents were assured: those walk-throughs are coming.
The Commissioner extended his gratitude to every officer and staff member who showed up and showed out for their community.
This is what community policing looks like.
This is what it feels like.
And we’re just getting started. 🫡
