St. Kitts & Nevis Tourism Authorities Launch “We Limin” Diaspora Campaign in Bermuda

Basseterre, St. Kitts — The St. Kitts Tourism Authority, in partnership with the Nevis Tourism Authority, officially introduced its “We Limin” Diaspora Campaign to the Bermudian community during a diaspora engagement held on February 25, 2026, strengthening ties with a community where it is estimated that over 90 per cent of residents trace their roots to St. Kitts and Nevis.

The engagement formed part of the destination’s strategic efforts to deepen relationships with diaspora communities while diversifying source markets and strengthening resilience within the tourism industry. The delegation included Mrs. Melnecia Marshall, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority; Mr Pheon Jones, Director of Sales at the Nevis Tourism Authority; and Mr. Kressell Daniel, Deputy Consul General in New York – Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the engagement, the team presented an overview of St. Kitts and Nevis, highlighting signature events including the Cross Channel Swim, St. Kitts Music Festival, Nevis Mango Festival, St. Kitts and Nevis Restaurant Week, and Sugar Mas. Members of the Bermudian community were invited to participate in the We Limin Diaspora Programme, designed to keep nationals and descendants connected to the destination while empowering them to serve as tourism ambassadors and advocates for St. Kitts and Nevis.

“The We Limin Campaign is about reconnecting our people to their roots while positioning our diaspora as active partners in the growth of our tourism industry,” said Mrs Melnecia Marshall, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.

The mission coincided with the participation of the Honourable Marsha T. Henderson, Minister of Tourism, at the Caribbean Tourism Organization Council of Ministers Meeting in Bermuda, where Ministers discussed strategies to increase intra-regional travel and enhance the sustainability and resilience of Caribbean tourism economies.

“Our diaspora represents one of our most important and resilient markets, and through initiatives like this we are building long-term relationships that support travel, cultural exchange, investment, and global promotion of St. Kitts and Nevis.” said Minister Henderson. “Engagements such as this strengthen historic bonds while creating new opportunities for travel, investment and long-term partnerships that benefit both our people and our economy.”

As part of the mission, Mr. Kressell Daniel conducted a consular clinic, providing Bermudians with information and guidance on citizenship applications and related consular services, further strengthening connections between the diaspora and the Federation.

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority extends sincere thanks to the Premier of Bermuda and his team, Mrs. Louise Tannock, Mr. Christopher Famous, JP, Bermudair, Trip Travel Ltd., and TravelEdge for their invaluable support in facilitating this successful engagement.
